The Rev. Msgr. Kieran E. Harrington, V.E. is Vicar for Communications for the Diocese of Brooklyn. He is responsible for overseeing the Diocesan Public Information Office; Government Affairs and Public Policy Office; and DeSales Media Group which includes NET TV and The Tablet, the weekly newspaper of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
The Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio appointed Rev. Msgr. Harrington to his most recent position in December 2006. Prior to that, at the direction of Bishop DiMarzio, he was Director of Government Affairs for the Diocese and a leader of early efforts to bring Education Tax Credit Legislation to the forefront of public policy discussions in Albany.
Rev. Msgr. Harrington is the Rector of the Co-Cathedral of Saint Joseph in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn. He graduated cum laude from St. John’s University with a degree in philosophy. He holds a Masters of Divinity degree from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception and a Masters of Business Administration from the NYU Stern School of Business.
