Ending Temporary Protected Status Program Will Harm U.S., Says Study
Center for Migration Studies has released a new report on Temporary Protected Status recipients from Hati, El Salvador and Honduras showing how embedded they are in their communities and the U.S. economy. Our Konrad Aderer asks Mother Maria Amador, who leads the Brooklyn community of the Preachers of Christ and Mary, about her vocation and the detour she took on the way. In a widely reported story last month, Mother Maria Amador was the nun praying in a pew at St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral when a disturbed individual threatened her.
