Diabetes
Best-selling author of The End of Diabetes, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, joins host Portland Helmich to discuss diabetes, a condition that affects 29 million Americans. Dr. Fuhrman shows how you can completely reverse diabetes through a “Nutritarian” diet. Then, we’ll hear from Tom Wood, who after suffering with diabetes for 15 years, read Dr. Fuhrman’s book, and through the “nutritarian” diet, is no longer symptomatic. Then, Portland heads to the kitchen to cook up a diabetic-friendly dish with the Director of Nutrition Services for God’s Love We Deliver, Lisa Zullig, and Chef Andre Daquigan.
Praying More Deeply to the Blessed Mother
Next week, Pope Francis will travel to Portugal in honor of the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. When the Blessed Mother appeared to the shepherd children, and again at Lourdes and elsewhere, she repeatedly urges praying the rosary. Brothers of Brooklyn Honored in Mass
After centuries of service, the Diocese of Brooklyn is honoring for the first time ever one of it’s most under-appreciated vocations. National Brothers day is being celebrated in Bellerose, Queens and Katie Engesser reports from the mass.

Students within the Diocese of Brooklyn and New York State are currently taking annual state-wide examinations. Last year, Catholic academies and schools in Brooklyn and Queens surpassed New York City public schools in all tested grades in both ELA and Math. Michelle Powers spoke with a top official for the Diocese who hopes these trends continue.
