Busloads of Coptic Christians are ambushed in the Egyptian desert. A squad of masked killers disguised in military uniforms intercept the vehicles and open fire at point-blank range. At least 28 people are dead, including many children. The worshippers were making a pilgrimage to the Monastery of St. Samuel the Confessor, about 140 miles south of Cairo, when the jihadists boarded the two buses and started shooting.
