St. Luke’s
In this episode, host Anthony Mangano heads up the East River to Whitestone, Queens, NY to visit St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Built in 1898, its distinctive architecture matches its remarkable history. The church also features unique artifacts from the New York World’s Fair and special relics of a recent and popular saint. Several famous movie actors once lived in the surrounding neighborhood where the world’s longest suspension bridge was built in 1939, and a New York Met once played in St. Luke’s Little League.
