Anticipation for Pope’s United Nations Visit

Archbishop Bernardito Auza, the Holy See’s Permanent Observer to the United Nations, briefed the press about Pope Francis’s visit to the UN on Friday.  Correspondent Tim Harfmann attended that briefing and, just after its completion, spoke live on NET with Anchor Liz Faublas and Father Felix Herrera, a priest from St. Joan of Arc Parish in Jackson Heights, Queens.

Brooklyn Guadalupe Statue Headed to the Garden

A piece of the Brooklyn Diocese will be part of the Mass to be celebrated by Pope Francis at Madison Square Garden on Friday.  Currents correspondent Michelle Powers spoke with Monsignor Robert Romano, the Pastor of Our Lady Guadalupe in Dyker Heights, live on NET.

Brooklyn, Queens Walk with Francis

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens participated in the #WalkwithFrancis campaign, which was initiated by the Archdiocese of Washington.  The aim is to get communities to pray, serve and act to prepare for Pope Francis’s visit to the U.S.  In the Diocese of Brooklyn, the walk took place in Williamsburg.  Before the walk got underway, Currents correspondent Michelle Powers spoke live on NET with Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens CEO Monsignor Alfred LoPinto at the walk’s starting point, San Damiano Mission.
