Pope Francis visited the poor, sick and disabled at the House of Charity in Nalukolongo, Uganda on Saturday. Christopher Lamb, DeSales Media’s special correspondent for the Pope’s trip to Africa, captured part of Francis arrival to the house.
At Kololo Airstrip in Kampala, where young Ugandans met Pope Francis, the gathering is calm as a song is sung.

Pope Francis visited a shrine dedicated to 45 Anglicans and Catholics killed between 1885 and 1887, known as the Ugandan martyrs. A local king ordered the group, which included 22 Catholics, killed in an attempt to stop the growing influence of Christianity. Pope Paul VI canonized the Catholics in 1964.
