School Violence Protested at City Hall
Families for Excellent Schools, known as a pro-charter school nonprofit, holds a press conference at City Hall, calling on Mayor de Blasio to acknowledge a “crisis” of rising school violence in New York City schools. Priests Show Off Organ Skills
Five priests from the Diocese of Brooklyn join musical talents for an organ recital and vespers service at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph. Fathers Jeremy Canna, Gerald Dumont, Steven Giuletti, Joel Warden play five pieces on the co-cathedral’s newly restored antique organ, while Father Carlos Velásquez lends his voice for a vespers service. As Currents Correspondent Katie Breidenbach reports, the organ is one of the most difficult instruments to play, but these priests are up for the challenge.
New York State Moving to Electronic Prescriptions
Starting March 27, patients will no longer receive handwritten prescriptions, but instead, doctors will be electronically sending the scripts into pharmacies. Michelle Powers visited Maimonides Medical Center and spoke with Neil Neumann, Director of Pharmacy, about what this means for patients.

Reconciliation Monday: Receive Mercy

Young Professionals To Spend a Homeless Night
Covenant House Sleep-Outs have become a movement, raising awareness and funds to support homeless youth. Tomorrow night, 250 young professionals in Manhattan will join eight cities for a night of solidarity. Konrad Aderer reports from the midtown alley next to Covenant House New York, where the Sleep Out will take place.
