Arizona Unique with Early Voting

Voters in three more states will select the candidates they want to see get their parties’ presidential nominations.  Among those states is Arizona, where the vast majority of eligible voters have already voted.  Liz Faublas talked about this and more with Arizona-based political consultant Mike Noble.

Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade Honors Past and Future

The 23rd Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day parade commemorated the Easter Rising of 1916, and offered scholarships for children moving on from Catholic elementary school to Catholic high school. School Violence Protested at City Hall

Families for Excellent Schools, known as a pro-charter school nonprofit, holds a press conference at City Hall, calling on Mayor de Blasio to acknowledge a “crisis” of rising school violence in New York City schools. Priests Show Off Organ Skills

Five priests from the Diocese of Brooklyn join musical talents for an organ recital and vespers service at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph. Fathers Jeremy Canna, Gerald Dumont, Steven Giuletti, Joel Warden play five pieces on the co-cathedral’s newly restored antique organ, while Father Carlos Velásquez lends his voice for a vespers service. As Currents Correspondent Katie Breidenbach reports, the organ is one of the most difficult instruments to play, but these priests are up for the challenge.

New York State Moving to Electronic Prescriptions

Starting March 27, patients will no longer receive handwritten prescriptions, but instead, doctors will be electronically sending the scripts into pharmacies. Michelle Powers visited Maimonides Medical Center and spoke with Neil Neumann, Director of Pharmacy, about what this means for patients.
