Dozens Overdose on K2 in Bed-Stuy

Up to 33 people were hospitalized Wednesday after apparent overdoses of K2, also known as synthetic marijuana. Currents Correspondent Katie Breidenbach reports from Bedford-Stuyvesant  where residents say the drug is a constant problem.

Alexander Hamilton: The Man and the Legacy

In the spotlight ever since the hit Broadway musical, Alexander Hamilton is honored by a crowd of fans who gather at his Manhattan gravesite. Trinity Episcopalian Church hosts a ceremony to honor the founding father 212 years after his death. Lauded as a key interpreter of the Constitution, Hamilton died on July 12th, 1804 after a infamous dual with his bitter rival Aaron Burr. Community and Police Hold Vigil in Brooklyn for Peace

The Diocese of Brooklyn, along with dozens of other clergy members, joined police and civilians at a vigil in Grand Army Plaza Monday night. Prayers were said for the five police officers who were assassinated in Dallas last week, as well as the two men killed by police in Louisiana and Minnesota. Michelle Powers was there and filed this report.

Weekend of Protests Sparks Calls for Healing

Demonstrators have gathered in New York for four consecutive days, protesting the shooting deaths of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota by police officers. In Fort Greene Park the Black Lives Matter movement held a private gathering with members of the community with the goal of healing. Tonight, Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of Brooklyn and other community leaders will hold a candle light vigil to pray for peace and unity. Currents Correspondent Katie Breidenbach reports.
