World Youth Day has officially begun as the pilgrims from the Diocese of Brooklyn celebrate mass at Błonia Park, the park where Pope John Paul II celebrated mass 5 times. Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, the Archbishop of Krakow, celebrated this mass with help from Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio and the priests of Brooklyn. Michelle Powers was there with over 400,000 pilgrims and filed this report.
