Dozens of Catholics hit the links at the North Hills Country Club, on Thursday, Jan 22, for a good cause.
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens’ and EJ Electric held its annual “Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Memorial Golf Classic,” in hopes of raising money that’ll be used to help families in need.
The funds would go primarily to the many programs run by the organization, which focus on emergency food pantries, affordable housing, youth programs, and more recently support and resources for the newly arrived migrants.
This year’s event saw 132 golfers participate in support of CCBQ.
This year’s event aimed to surpass last year’s fundraising record of $100,000.
