A grieving family in Michigan whose son committed suicide, says the priest who delivered the homily at his funeral didn’t do his job.
Eighteen-year-old Mason Hullibarger took his own life on December 4th.

While his family and friends mourned his death at his funeral at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Michigan, the pastor went on to lecture them about why suicide is a sin.
“He basically called our son a sinner in front of hundreds of people and judged him when he didn’t even know him,” said Linda Hullibarger, Maison’s mother.
The Archdiocese of Detroit apologized to the Hullibarger family and removed the priest from preaching at funerals for the foreseeable future.
