A Vatican palace is now a homeless shelter on the orders of Pope Francis.

The Palazzo Migliori, a spectacular nineteenth century structure, was slated to become a luxury hotel.

This was before the Holy Father visited the temporary facilities in November.

Now, the renovated palace will house about 50 residents as a place where they can sleep, eat and learn.

It’s being dubbed “a palace for the poor.”
