The New York State Legislature passed a bill on Tuesday, June 20, that would expand access to abortion medication.
The bill will make it okay for New York doctors to prescribe and send abortion pills to people in states where abortion is illegal.
The measure is headed to Governor Kathy Hochul’s desk where she is expected to sign the bill into law.
