Bishop Robert Brennan led faithful on multiple stops during the ongoing Lenten Pilgrimage in the Diocese of Brooklyn, drawing dozens of participants to parishes for prayer, Mass, and devotions.
On Saturday, March 7, pilgrims traveled to Homecrest, Brooklyn where Bishop Brennan celebrated morning Mass at St. Edmund’s parish with their pastor.
Liturgical services continued throughout the day, including an afternoon Stations of the Cross and Benediction.
Friday, March 6 Bishop Brennan celebrated a Spanish Mass at St. Catherine of Alexandria in Borough Park, Brooklyn.
In his homily, he reminded parishioners that God never gives up on them, but does not force a response to His love, which remains waiting.
On Monday, March 9, the pilgrimage reached Marine Park, Brooklyn.
At St. Columba parish, Bishop Brennan led an exposition of the Blessed Sacrament accompanied by the Miraculous Medal Novena. It is a decades-old devotion to the Virgin Mary.
He also celebrated Mass with dozens of pilgrims gathered for the Brooklyn stop.
