When some neighboring Catholic high schools closed at the end of last year, Fontbonne Hall Academy in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, took in 60 transfer students, many of them seniors.
In an effort to welcome the new students, the girls decided they would add the closed schools’ emblems onto Fontbonne’s sweaters.
Now they stand side by side, or pocket to pocket. This year the school’s theme is “together, we are one.”
