Work crews began cleaning up the severely contaminated Gowanus Canal this week, kicking off its 500 million dollar plan to remove over a century of toxic waste from the canal. Currents correspondent Konrad Aderer gives us a jaw-dropping first look at what the work crews dredged from the bottom.
