Fifth Graders Portray NY Saints and Hopefuls

Honors students at St. Joseph Catholic Academy in Long Island City portrayed saints and potential future saints of New York, in a project of the Siena Society. Their carefully researched performances enthralled an audience that included Patty McDonald, widow of Detective Steven McDonald, whose death in 2017 has been followed by petitions for an inquiry into his possible canonization.
