In the wake of Hurricane Florence, members of the Knights of Columbus from Brooklyn are lending a help hand in New Bern, North Carolina. In recent weeks they collected close to five thousand dollars worth of supplies. And last night, they made the over 500-mile drive to North Carolina to deliver them.
They’re hoping these essential supplies can make a difference in the recovery. “Obviously water. Cleaning supplies. Tools. Things that you would rip apart your house, disinfect it, and make sure it’s sanitary,” Father Michael Gelfant said.
