At Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio’s urging, Catholic Churches throughout Brooklyn and Queens are taking action to help the people of Puerto Rico. The parishes are conducting emergency collections of ‘material goods.’ Essential items include nonperishable food, baby formula, flashlights and batteries.
