Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens opened a new clinic to meet the need for mental health care.

The non-profit organization cut the ribbon on the Joseph F. Collins Catholic Charities Behavioral Health Center on Thursday, July 18, for children and families in Woodhaven.

The clinic pairs New Yorkers with mental health providers and offers help with addiction, housing, and food insecurity.

The building is named for Joseph Collins, a board member who has worked with Catholic Charities for more than 35 years and is dedicated to mental health care.

This is CCBQ’s fifth healthcare clinic in the Diocese of Brooklyn.

The Behavioral Health Center is open seven days a week and guarantees all walk-ins will be seen.
