Pilgrims from Brooklyn and Queens spent Friday with the Bishop of Brooklyn Nicholas DiMarzio.
The Bishop lead them in their final catechesis, which they’ve taken part in all week. These are sessions to have a better understanding of the faith.
Bishop DiMarzio focused on the topic of sin and the sacrament of reconciliation, saying it strengthens your relationships with God, loved ones and yourselves.
Bishop David O’Connell of Ireland joined Bishop DiMarzio, echoing his message.
The pilgrims also had the opportunity to receive the sacrament, confessing their sins to priests from the Brooklyn diocese. The young Catholics said Bishop DiMarzio’s message inspires them.
