Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio is paying attention to Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. He is requesting all churches in Brooklyn and Queens collect ‘material goods’ for the US island’s residents. The items in greatest need include non-perishable food, baby formula and flashlights and batteries. The students at Brooklyn’s St Bernard Catholic Academy are making a special effort to help today.
