Brenda Hopkins fostered two-year-old Quintin from birth, and now she is officially his adoptive mother. With the help of HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services, an organization that helps New York families, Quintin now joins the family alongside Brenda’s three biological daughters. Ahead of Mother’s Day, Currents Correspondent Katie Breidenbach visits their home to learn the joys – and struggles – of fostering and adopting.
