Brian Browne, a political expert from Saint John’s University, joins us to discuss how the formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump will affect the day-to-day activities of the president and Congress.

The Constitution allows impeachment for “high crimes and misdemeanors,” and a survey of the House shows that a majority of members support impeachment.

If the president is impeached by the House, a trial is then held in the Senate, where a conviction requires a two-thirds vote.
