The measles emergency that gripped New York City for months has been declared over, as health officials have announced that no new infections have been detected.
More than 650 cases of measles hit the city in the past year, mostly center in Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods.
The city’s health commissioner is continuing to warn parents to vaccinate their children ahead of school. Measles is one of the most contagious diseases on the face of the earth.
