Bishop Robert Brennan is asking the faithful of the Diocese of Brooklyn to pray for the priests of the diocese Friday, which is the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He also asks that people pray for him, that he “might serve you with the heart of Christ the Good Shepherd with the sacred Heart of Jesus that more and more we can all grow closer to him in love with He who loves us.”
Bishop Brennan says the feast is a “day of prayer for the sanctification of priests” and adds that the priests of the diocese “are holy men who long to serve you with all their hearts. We all need help along the way, we need the prayers, and we need to draw closer, always to Jesus Christ.”
